# Frontier Log

> The AI timeline from official sources: the major events at OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, and the milestones at Meta and DeepSeek (model releases, capabilities, products and policies), each dated and linked to the lab's own announcement. https://frontierlog.ai

Every event comes from the lab's official announcement, news or blog post, never from press coverage or social posts. An event's `date` is the date of that official post (its publish date as the post or the lab's feed gives it), not necessarily the date the thing became available: an announcement and a later availability are separate events, linked through `related`. Event and tag slugs are permanent ids.

## API

JSON over HTTPS, GET only, no key, CORS open. Responses are cached for a day at the CDN and refresh when the data changes.

An event: `slug`, `date`, `lab`, `kind`, `importance` (milestone: an event the history of AI is told by, rare, and also major; major: belongs on a one-page history of AI; minor: notable follow-on), `title`, `detail`, `tags`, `related` (slugs), `source` (the official post), `source_title`, `url` (the event page to cite) and `image` (its preview card). Errors are `{"error": {"code": "...", "message": "..."}}`.
